Here at Eurofins Bay of Plenty in New Zealand, our teams provide independent high quality horticultural services and technical solutions. We are a horticulture industry partner providing value added support with a 30 year proven track record of servicing testing needs of fruit growers across New Zealand. We are contracted by Zespri International, our main client, to collect and process kiwifruit orchard maturity clearance samples for their export maturity clearance programme. We are committed to supporting the industry’s objectives of ensuring that their products reach the best possible quality levels in all markets in which they operate whilst supporting the wider industry with innovative products and services.

The Group intends to continue to develop and acquire the most comprehensive range of state-of-the-art analytical technologies as well as expand its geographical reach in order to support its clients’ increasingly stringent quality and safety standards and the expanding demands of regulatory authorities.

Due to our Australian and NZ growth within the Eurofins business as well as our strategic future plans, Eurofins Bay of Plenty is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to assist Senior Management to execute its strategic vision for future sales for our company.

Reporting to the NZ BD Operations manager (Functionally) as well as to the Managing Director (Operationally), the National Sales Manager’s primary responsibility will be to establish, plan and implement strategies for the development and delivery of all sales and marketing activities in alignment with company strategy.

The Successful Applicant will be:

  • Diversifying the company’s income streams within the primary sector
  • Leveraging off core business competencies to grow new market segments
  • Strategically collaborating with other Eurofins offices (Local and globally) to grow inter-co opportunities
  • Raising the profile of Eurofins Bay of Plenty locally and globally
  • Networking and strategically collaborate with other BD and sales staff within Eurofins business units locally and globally to ensure alignment with EBOP strategic vision
  • Providing regular analysis and reporting on opportunities to ensure alignment with Management and the wider business plan while achieving tasks within budgetary constraints.




We expect you to:

  • Have a successful track record in sourcing, delivery and closing of business opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Be self-motivated, energetic and passionate personality that can demonstrate technical and business acumen
  • Have exceptional interpersonal soft skills and the ability to communicate to a diverse audience in a range of settings
  • Be experienced in networking and operating within the Primary Sector – this would be highly beneficial
  • Have a graduate qualification in applicable or related disciplines
  • Be highly proficient in business software tools including CRM
  • Have the ability to build meaningful interpersonal business relationships very quickly
