Our food safety auditing team brings a wide range of experience and qualifications to the industry.

Our auditing business is centrally co-ordinated from Auckland and includes the following Auditors:

 

Tracy Sterrenberg - Business Unit Manager

Tracy joined Eurofins  as Business Unit Manager for the Auditing division in August 2017. She is based in Auckland. She brings her 20+ years  Operations management experience  in various sectors of the Food industry in South Africa and more recently New Zealand . Over her career to date, she has been involved in Operations Management in the fields of Contract Food Service management , Food Retailing and Franchising and QSR industries.

 

Jason Cust – Technical Manager 

Jason Cust has joined Eurofins with 10 years of quality management and compliance auditing roles. Prior to joining Eurofins, Jason spent 3.5 years as Group Audit Quality Manager Almarai group of companies in Saudi Arabia. His role including auditing of suppliers while overviewing multiple product category management systems in dairy, bakery, poultry, infant formula and transport and distribution processes. Prior to that Jason spent six years as Senior RMP(dairy)  Evaluator, Verifier and ISO Auditor with AsureQuality. Jason brings food and dairy processing along with ISO and regulatory experience to the team. Jason is available for trouble shooting food and dairy process issues.

 

Stephen Oliver – RMP Verifier 

Stephen joined the team in December 2015 and is an approved RMP Verifier.  He has spent the last fifteen years in compliance and product safety roles in the meat and dairy industry. He joins us from Fonterra where he was Regional Food Safety & Quality Manager for the Central North Island sites. 

 

Angeline Chand - Senior Food Verifier

Angeline joined Eurofins in March 2017. She has been in the food industry for 10 years. Prior to joining Eurofins, Angeline worked with AsureQuality as an Auditor and has expertise in auditing various standards such as BRC, Coles, Organics, HACCP, Grafted Grapevine Standard and Food Act 1981 / 2014. She has also worked in the Fishing Industry in Fiji and held a Product development and advisory role with the Department of Fisheries.

 

Rafael Uchida – Assistant Engineer 

Rafael joined us in June 2015. He previously worked in Audit roles for Bureau Veritas in Brazil and has a background in Retailer, Food Safety, and Management Systems Audits. He provides support to DeeneshJeram and Svein Johannsen who make up our Engineering team.

 

Deenesh Jeram – Audit Manager Engineering

With over 25 years as an MPI Recognised Premises and Heat Treatment Evaluator in the Dairy and Food Industry Deenesh joined the Eurofins auditing team in March 2013.  Deenesh has over 10 years’ experience in conducting Heat Treatment courses in the Dairy and Food Industry and several years’ of Compliance auditing in the Dairy, Food and Industrial sectors.

 

Shilpa Chejerla – RMP Verifier 

Shilpa has recently been approved as a Dairy RMP verifier, she joined Eurofins to provide coordination and support to Audit services team. Shilpa has, held various Quality and Technical roles across a wide range of reputable Food manufacturing businesses within New Zealand and United Kingdom over the past 9 years. Shilpa has worked to RMP, FSP, BRC, ISO, WQA stds and UK retailer codes of practices. Shilpa has worked across a wide range of product categories, her portfolio of products include cereals, ready meals, ice cream, small goods, ready to eat meats, and imported speciality foods. Shilpa has a Bachelor’s of Food Engineering degree from Massey University.

 

Divya Nanu – Audit Co-ordinator

Divya has joined Eurofins most recently as an Audit Coordinator. She comes with experience from a variety of jobs in Laboratory testing through to quality assurance and food safety in the dairy industry. Divya has over 5 years of experience mainly in the dairy industry where she has worked under RMP and WQA standards.

 

Amanda Matthew – Food Auditor

Amanda joined Eurofins in May 2018 and is based in Wellington. Prior to joining the Eurofins team Amanda worked in a variety of quality and technical roles in different food industries including: chocolate and confectionery, chilled fresh (ready to eat and ingredients) and poultry (value added, further processed and fully cooked).

Amanda has also previously worked as a Senior Food Safety Auditor with a high risk scope and worked in both New Zealand and Australia covering manufacturing, retail outlets and Quick Service Restaurants. She has experience in regulatory, GFSI audits and customer set audit standards including: SQF, WQA, Coles, Aldi, Spotless, Bidvest, and QSR’s supplier standards - McDonald’s, Burger King/Hungry Jacks, and Subway.

 Nathan Scott - Trainee Verifier

Nathan Scott joined Eurofins as a trainee verifier in March 2018 and is working towards his RMP and Food verifier approval. He has a background in food manufacturing, food safety consulting, and microbiology, laboratory testing and catering. He is a qualified chef and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce in the food industry at Lincoln University and under taken further study at Massy University in environmental health. He has industry experience in poultry, bakery, grains, sugar, and dairy.

 

 

Jayne Philp - Trainee Verifier

Jayne joined the team in February 2018 and is working towards her RMP and Food verifier approval.  She has spent the last six years in compliance and technical roles in the Ministry for Primary Industries and meat industry.
