We are a horticulture industry partner providing value added support and a 30 year proven track record of servicing testing needs of fruit growers across New Zealand.  We operate an independent laboratory contracted by the fruit growing industry to collect and process maturity clearance samples.

 

The Opportunity

A vacancy now exist for the position of Field Team Leader/Manager within our operation in Katikati, and we are seeking an energetic and motivated individual who is looking to build their experience in management and  to take their career to the next level within the Eurofins Group.

This exciting opportunity will be responsible for all aspects field operations. We are seeking applications from ambitious, motivated and eager-to-learn candidates who are above average in their analytical, numerical skills. The candidate are well organised with excellent communication skills and strong commercial acumen. The opportunity presents a unique opportunity to build an understanding of Eurofins operations and will provide the successful candidate with a strong platform to progress their career within Eurofins. 

We are looking for dynamic person to join our rapidly growing company to oversee and manage the diverse activities of our Field Operations. The ideal candidate would have experience in Logistics / dispatch and or Harvest Management, with experience in the kiwifruit industry being preferable. The position involves leading the field team in a hands-on capacity, with attention to detail, an ability to build team and support company culture and someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the scope of the role will include:

  • Plan and execute all aspects of logistics
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Coordinate and track movement
  • Manage staff KPIs
  • Recruit and coordinate seasonal Field staff / samplers according to activities
  • Maintain SHEQ throughout the logistic processes

  • Knowledge of logistics systems
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to contribute individually and motivate a team to greater goal
  • Strong analytical, numerical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Very good commercial acumen and an ability to drive change and help implement new systems/processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office – in particular MS Excel.
  • Capacity to deal with multiple stakeholders (Managing Directors, Business Unit Managers etc.).
  • Experience within a Eurofins laboratory / operations, and the ability to apply operational knowledge when making business decisions.
