Our Commitment to Health & Safety 

Eurofins Food and Water Testing NZ is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment for our team members, contractors, clients and others affected by our operation at all times, across all levels of our organisation.

It is critically important to our organisation to eliminate hazards and minimise occupational health and safety risks by effective preventive and protective measures to prevent work-related injury and illness.

We aim at conducting our business in compliance with relevant safety legislation, codes of practice and responsible social and safety policies.

We have a comprehensive internal Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) framework that extends to all areas of our work, including our work occurring on clients’ sites. We place a strong focus on identifying and acting early on opportunities for improvement of our health and safety performance, and implement injury prevention initiatives and ongoing training to keep safety at the forefront in all our day-to-day activities. 

As a part of our processes, we take our Health and Safety at Work (2015) responsibilities to act in partnership with other ‘Persons Controlling a Business or Undertaking’ (PCBUs) very seriously, under a commitment of co-ordinated responsibility and continuous improvement.

As a demonstration of this commitment to health and safety we are aiming for ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems certification.
