2017 Customer Survey Follow-Up

Late last year Eurofins-ELS ran a survey, seeking feedback from all our valuable customers. Thank you to everyone who filled in the form to let us know how we are doing. It was great to receive such a positive response but we also value your feedback on areas where we can improve.

We have listened and have made some significant changes to our Wellington and Christchurch business structures based around communication.

We are excited to announce that we have created four new Analytical Service Mangers (ASM) roles who will be focussed on communicating with and supporting your needs as our customer. Our ASMs will be your primary contact and they have been training how to answer your technical and general enquiries, including discussing your testing needs, providing quotations, reissuing reports or invoices, arranging urgent testing requests, investigating any issues or concerns, or changing your setups such as email addresses.

Chen started her career as a microbiology analyst for Eurofins-ELS after graduating from Victoria University of Wellington with a degree in biomedical sciences. Having spent 5 years in the microbiology lab completing a great multitude of tests across thousands of samples, Chen brings extensive hands-on experience and knowledge to her role as ASM. Coupled with her great customer focus and high standards for performance, Chen is committed to building and enhancing our microbiology based customer experience on a holistic basis. Shilla holds a National Diploma in Science and has worked in the commercial laboratory industry for 8 years. During this time she spent 5 years working in a chemistry laboratory, and 3 years working within the sample logistics team learning about sampling, sample delivery and customer requirements. Shilla has successfully completed the Eurofins Future Leader Training Course and brings a large skill set to her new ASM role. Shilla is looking forward to helping all of our chemistry based customers with their requirements.

Lizzie is only just beginning her career in commercial laboratories after joining the Eurofins-ELS team in September of 2017 following her completion of a Biomedical Sciences degree. After initially being employed for a role in Customer Support, she is excited to combine her previous experience in customer-based roles with the specialised skills learnt throughout her study and with Eurofins-ELS to help streamline and develop new initiatives within the Logistics process for all of our clients. Lizzie is happy to work with our customers for any sample bottle, courier, or logistics based query. Amanda has been working in the commercial laboratory industry for 18 years after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Laboratory Technology specialising in microbiology. During these years she has held a number of different roles in laboratories, starting as a laboratory technician, and then working up over the years to Team Leader and Business Manager. Her current role as an ASM allows her to utilise all these skill sets to help serve our food clients in the South Island. Amanda is happy to receive queries from all our South Island based food customers so she can make your laboratory experience an easy one.

Other Improvements

As well as employing new customer focussed specialist we are also replacing our Wellington phone system during April. This will replace an aging PABX with a new VOIP solution that will make contacting us easier than ever.

We have also committed to employing additional staff in the bottle dispatch and logistics teams where you told us we have struggled due to the huge increase in samples.

We hope that this focus on increasing the support for all our customers and making that support more accessible will improve our service for all our customers.
