Changes in South Island Operations

From 1 April 2018 we have made a significant operational change to the South Island business structure. From this date the Christchurch Food and Water testing laboratory became part of the Eurofins-ELS company, joining our existing Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin laboratories managed by Rob Deacon.

This change has been made to provide a standardised level of service to customers in the South Island requiring Food and Water testing. The main laboratory of Eurofins-ELS in Wellington aligns very well with the Christchurch operation and has been carrying out Water, Food, Meat, and Beverage testing for over 20 years. Because of this structural similarity it is well placed to support our highly experienced Christchurch team and customers.

The laboratory operation will remain unchanged with all the familiar faces you have come to know.

The only changes that you will see is a new name on your reports and invoices and a new bank account to send your payments to. A more detailed letter will follow during the month.

Rob has been working within the laboratory industry for 30 years with over 20 of these spent in a managerial role. Rob specialises in quality systems, drinking water testing and sampling procedures.

 

Dan has an honours degree in analytical chemistry and has worked in environmental, industrial and water laboratories in the UK and New Zealand. Prior to joining Eurofins in 2016, Dan was employed as an analytical instrument technical service and sales rep.

Peter has been with Eurofins for 3 years. He brings over 30 years experience to the role, having worked in industry nearly all this time. His manufacturing background includes working at farmer cooperatives – Ravensdown, Kaikoura Dairy Co & Westland Milk Products. His experience covers processing issues, quality and all the test specialities we offer.

Andrea has degrees in Chemical Engineering and Engineering Sciences and has a strong background in Health and Safety. She has considerable experience in food, potable water, industrial and environmental testing laboratories.
