Christchurch Food Laboratory Update

Eurofins Rolleston is an MPI recognised laboratory (RLP) for the dairy, meat and poultry sectors. This includes the testing of Tripe and Offal (including the China OMAR requirements), as well as offering testing of; raw milk, dairy products, non-alcoholic beverages (such as juices), and powdered foods. We also support much of the South Islands salmon industry, providing a comprehensive range of tests, such as; chemical analysis, Pathogens, enzymes, antibiotics, residues, general microbiology, contaminants, as well as offering water testing.

We are able to offer IANZ accredited 1 day Listeria and Salmonella detection by our company’s own BACGene technology. We also have accreditation for many of the latest 2016 Chinese GB standards for microbiology testing of dairy products, along with some Dairy Products physical testing to support the cheese and milk powder sectors. We have also introduced several tests for the testing of cultures and fermented products like cheese.

We are known for being the go-to Food testing laboratory in the country for the huge range of tests that we can offer. Both locally and through our partner laboratories in New Zealand and around the world we have access to over 200,000 validated test methods. From process water, raw materials, environmental swabs, and product testing, through to wastewater and resource consent monitoring, the ability to use one laboratory for the full range of tests required for both the domestic market and for export, brings transparency, cost effectiveness, and huge added value to many of our customers in the Food, Dairy, Poultry and Meat sectors.
