Eurofins celebrates it's 30th Anniversary!
Eurofins is celebrating our 30th Anniversary. One of our core values is “The Protection of Human Health Globally” and we have a great opportunity to demonstrate that by donating €1M ($1.64M NZD) to 40 charities around the world that align with our core values.
The €1M donation will assist charities that work in areas that, like Eurofins, help to make the planet a safer and healthier place to live. The recipient charities selected by Eurofins fall into five categories: better nutrition, protecting ecosystems, improving health, social entrepreneurship and local communities. The New Zealand laboratory network was assigned €25,000 (Approximately $42K NZD) to give to worthy charities. During 2018 we plan to help out even more by allowing staff to pledge their time as volunteers for the charities that were selected.
Dr Gilles Martin, CEO of Eurofins said: “There is no better way for Eurofins to celebrate its 30 anniversary than sharing some of the results of our success with organisations and initiatives that work to preserve our environment, improve the health and safety of all worldwide, and support the less fortunate”
Some of the global charities that were supported by Eurofins include: In Australia a donation of €25,000 was made to OzHarvest. In the USA, Eurofins employees selected Water for People, which works across 9 countries to bring safe water and sanitation to 4 million people. In Europe, Eurofins is proud to back Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) and in Japan we have made a donation to Save Fukushima Orphans which is dedicated to orphans of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
